    Hi

I've got a 640x272 movie which I want to convert to a widescreen VCD. I really want the black bars above and below to be as small as possible but they seem to be much bigger after my conversion that they should be.

I;m using ful screen (keep aspect ratio) in tmpgenc. All the other options are std. Can anyone help me make a vcd or svcd that will look goodon my widescreen tv.

  2. Use "Full Screen(keep aspect ratio 2)" and you'll not gain or lose any black bar space. Make sure it's aspect ratio 2 (the second one).

  3. In case you don't know where to find this option in TMPGEnc:

Setting | Advanced | Video arrange method | Full screen (keep aspect ratio 2)

Keep in mind that if you hover your cursor over the Video arrange method drop-down menu, a description of what each option does will appear in a yellow help box. This works if you need help almost anywhere within the Setting menus of TMPGEnc.

    HUN-YA!
