I export my sequence from Avid DVXpress, as an Avi Uncompressed, 720x576.
Then I use the Wizard in TMPGencPlus to create an SVCD (Pal). But when TMPGenc downscales my video to 480x576, the picture gets mixed up and lines of the same video appear at the wrong part of the screen.
What is going wrong and how can I prevent this from happening?

Are you going to play it in a standalone DVD player? If so make sure it is svcd compatible. I suggest you make an xsvcd and keep the same specs that you exported from avid dont use the TMPG wizard keep it at 720x576 4000cbr. Has always worked for me.
