    I just bought a APEX 3201 player. I saw detailed instructions for the firmware update. My question is do I need this update? How do I determine this.

    So far this player played VCDs well, and that is all I care for

    If it does everything you want it to then there is no need to upgrade the firmware.

    Does the firmware tell you why its been updated ? bug fixes ?
