DVD ripper rips file to .vob extensions. What now? I don't see much out there on converting these to mpegs,avi's,etc.
I guess I'm missing the big picture.

Yes you are...
You can use FlaskMPEG or DVD2AVI to convert the decrypted vob files into something else (e.g., DivX, MPEG-1 for VCD, MPEG-2 for SVCD).
