I can't run anymore Nero !

Some times I got error with Nero when I want to start it up.
It shows a small warning window with a message, like Nero can't run due to initialization error.
Then I have to unistall Nero, and start install again. For a while it works this "trick".
But now even dowing that, I can't run anymore on my system.
Any idea why ?

It is probably still in your windows registry, even if you uninstall.
use regedit on the run command line to look for it. If your unfamiliar with the registry, u may not want to mess with it, u could cause bigger problems.

It is exactly what I thought, after unistall , I used regedit and clean everything regarding to Nero. Reboot the system, and install again different version. (tried 5.8 and not latest 5.9) and still the same problem.

Could be an ASPI thing, have you installed any other CD related software recently?

Like another OS ? No !
The only thing I installed was only regular software for home user, nothing special.

I meant other CD burners like EZ CD creator or CloneCD....

What system? What OS? What burner? What type of bus mastering drivers???

If you are running Windows XPlosion then I would make sure to get the CD burning updateds from Windowsupdate.com. Lots of people had problems with burners when WinXP first hit the market.

Also, it might be important to note what master/slave setup you have with the other drives in your system.

If the problem has recently appeared you have probably installed something new?

What other Apps are you running, particularly what tray icons do you have? I recently had a problem under Win2kPro with Nero 5582 so I removed Nero INCD from where it started from and problem disappeared.

I have Windows 2000 Pro SP2. Direct X 8.1. My CDRW is Plextor 10X12X24 IDE .
I tried to install Nero 5590 . Works before, but not anymore. For example works good yesterday, and today when I start the computer I got that error message:

nero.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows .
You will need to restart the program.

An error log is being created.

That's it.
I was looking after that error logo, but I can't find it.

Since yesterday to today I haven't install nothing (zero , nada , null programs)

Getting back to your problem - what Icons are running in the system tray & what programs start up with Windows. You say you haven't installed anything new recently. Maybe so but you mave upgraded something which is now causing your problem.
