I encoded a mpeg-1 file with TMPGEnc from a DVD rip(songs dvd containing 45 songs) and facing a strange problem.

DVD Info file:

Video:
Compression : MPEG-2
TV system : NTSC 525/60 Hz
Aspect ratio: 4:3
Display Mode: not specified
Source Res : 352x480
Letterboxed : no
Mode : Camera

Audio:
0. Hindi (AC3 6ch, 0xBD 0x80)

Program Chain(s):
Using PGC #0. Length: 03:34:13:83 in 45 cell(s).

After encoding with the following settings the mpeg-1 (video and audio encoded seperatly and muxed(everything with TMPGEnc only) length is:3:34:26. Power DVD and Win Media Player also shows clip length as 3:34:26.

Video encode settings:

Template:
Pinoy2201s VCD (NTSC) (MPEG-1 352x240 29.97fps VBR 1800kbps).
Aspect ratio:16:9 525 lines(NTSC)
2 pass VBR (300/1800/2300) xvcd.
VBV buffer size:224kb (out of vcd standard but should not matter with time stamp)
GOP:1,5,3
Detect Scene Change
Output YUV data...
Use Floting point...
No soften block noise and also used sharpen edges filter

(Quality came out very good, some are no movement songs but some are very high movement songs).

The clip timestamp is 13 seconds off so I have a problem authoring chapters with VCDEasy. After authoring vcd with VCDEasy and playing the vcd next (-->) takes to the trailing (3-4 sec) of the current song rather than start of next song. Since its a songs clip this is not very appealing.

Another problem I am facing is while cutting the clip into pieces. I used TMPGEnc to cut the same clip. ( say for eg. from 00:00:00 to 49:06:88 which is somewhere in the start of 11th song and even the edit window display frame confirms that). When I play the clip using Power DVD or Win Media Player time stamp is correctly displayed as 49:06 but clip is only upto the middle of 10th song. (A position earlier/far before the display frame in TMPEnc's edit window.) When I played the original encoded(full) clip in Power DVD the 10th song ends at 50:16 time stamp. Info file for DVD shows the start of 11th chapter/end of 10th song at 00:50:14:40.

Also there is no audio for last one and half song but there is no audio sync problem. (audio settings: 441K nad 224K mpeg layer II using toollame and ssrc)

I am confused why time stamp is out of sync in TMPGenc while displaying the edit window and how do I cut the clip correctly inro pieces.

Any insight/suggestions to solve these problems would be appreciated.
