  1. I have quite a few digital video files in pretty much every format, including realmedia. Unfortunately, as I aquire these files mostly through my ftp server and imesh, I sometimes end up with files broken at the point of every resume. So far, i have been using asftools to fix asf's, fixmpg to fix mpg's, and divfix to fix avi's with no problems at all. The formerly mentioned 3 tools basically just re-index the files and cut out the quarter second of bad frames that cause movies to freeze/crash/etc. I have been unable to find any programs that can do this on realplayer files however, and as I result I have quite a few realplayer files that freeze at specific points in the video and need to be manually advanced, and some files that don't seek at all. Is there any way to re-index, or otherwise repair these files, or are they just broken for good?

  3. Unfortunately realproducer cannot load corrupt files, even when they just need to be re-indexed. When you attempt to load a corrupt file into realproducer, it coughs up an error message and refuses to load the file, or simply crashes.

  4. open the file in the Editor.........

before that, play the file and note where the hang is starting then cut the bad part within RealEditor.....

If the file is really unusable, well......
