Howy all,
First of all, I have a AMD Firebird 700MHz CPU running Win98SE.
My problem is; the subtitles does'nt appear on my SVCD standalone player, yes, it's SVCD/VCD ONLY player, Skyworth SV-777, made in china for china, I live very close to china so I got it at the local market.
When I look at the final written SVCD disc (.CIF image) in the "EXT" foler where "CAPTnn.DAT" shall be stored, it's completely empty. According to Philips SVCD technical explanation, page 4, table 3 and page 5 table 1, the "CAPTnn.DAT" (subtitles) is to be stored in the "EXT" folder.
And the fact that my SVCD player is SVCD only player and it's made in China should make it SVCD compliant.
Cheers!
//Karl
