I'm using HeaAC3he to convert the second cd AVI to wave but have run into the following problem.
Bad Syncword at frame 98379! The AC3 stream is probably corrupt.
Is there a fix for this or am I sol?

When you load you wav file into HeadAC3he, it shows the number of frames. If you are lucky enough that your bad frame is at or very near the end, just reduce the number of frames to convert (by changing the end frame value) and hit go. You will lose a tiny bit of audio from the end of the wav but with luck it will be so little you will not notice.
Let me know how you get on. -
I thought of doing that as well, but unfortunately it's not near the end of the film. I'm kinda of surprised the virtual dub didn't see this problem when initially converting the file.

An alternative to Headac3e is Azid/Lame + GUI. I find it quicker than Headac3e and it doesnt report as many stream errors, and it does a proper Dolby downmix.
