  1. I'm trying to use virtualdub 1.4 to pull the sound into an uncompressed wav file. Following directions I found on this site to a T. I accomplished this once with another mpeg, but now on this one I get the following error about 3/4 way through saving it as a .wav.

"MPEG-1 audio decode error: not enough data to decode frame"

Anyone have any suggestions, advice etc? Even if this advice includes suggestions on another program I can try to use, although I'd like to use Virtualdub 1.4 if possible.

I do not the sound on this particular movie cuts out on occasion, although I didnt think it did on the first half of it. If it is because of the cutting out is there a way to make the program ignore it and have no sound for that part or would that require me breaking it up into pieces where the audio cut-outs are?

Thanks in advanced for any assistance.

Last Note: I did search for this option, only found one instance via search of this and no one answered their problem. Wanted to lay that out before someone recommends I do a search

  2. Just to post another note on this, more information on the issue the more apt I'm to get a response I'm sure.

It's not cause of the sound cutting off cause the second half, which was much worse about the sound cutting off in a couple spots, went through fine...odd...I'm at a loss.

  3. OMFG...Newb..:macks myself:: such a newb when it comes to this stuff hehe....

In case anyone else ever has this issue...um...make sure what you THINK is an avi is REALLY an avi, it was already in MPG format, so obviously I didnt need to translate it into it...so that's probably why it was giving me problems in the process of translating it.

Thanks everyone who read the post and thought on what it could be, pardon my stupidity, only been working with this stuff for a day and a half
