Device Already in Use

New user with Dazzle Mojave Device, plus VideoWave 4.0. When I try to use other capture programs I receive the message "Device Already in Use"

How do I free up the device to use elsewhere. Using Win XP. Thanks.

Are you closing the program that you are not using? Capture devices cannot multi-task, as you probably know.

Yes the program is closed. That's what I don't understand why it's still in use. Where is it in use!!!

did u try alt + ctrl + delete? if you see it running, just end it.

Tried that, unfortunately it didn't show up as still running. Thanks.

I see this error all the time after a capture program crashes or exits not-cleanly
with my Asus V7700.

Probably means your capture program does not properly release the capture device.

I'm new at video capturing. One thing I neglected to mention, I'm using Dell MovieStudio 11. Video Wave 4, Dazzle hardware is all bundled. I've discovered quite a number of users are having the same problem. No other capture,edit programs can be used when you use this product. If you try to capture from 8mm tapes I & many others receive a copyguard error message. No one seems to be able to solve this problem.
