I have the ATI AIW 128 Pro capturing with AVI_IO to NTSC 720 x 480 compressing with MainConcept's DV codec using the wrapper under win 2k. Here is the wrinkle. I have been capturing for a long time from the satellite, vcr, and camcorder and the captured vfw video has always been B field first. Now all of a sudden the captured video is A field first. The only thing I have done is apply the latest patches to Ulead's MSP 6.5 and DVD WorkShop which primarily replaced the Ligos encoder with Ulead's MPeg Now. I have uninstalled both patches but I doubt if it was a clean uninstall but the problem remains. Everything works fines but the field order is flipped. Has anyone else run into this problem or has an explanation?
