    Frauenhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec
Im trying to conver it to MPG but the problem is that when the conversion is finish, the mpg goes fast and change colors along the way, the picture goes red then green so on.

The codec you talk about is an audio codec (MP3)
However this should not matter as long as you have the codec installed (Nimo codec pack) has them all.

If your using TMPGEnc to encode to mpeg1 try this

    TMPGEnc
    Select options > environmental settings
    click the VFAPI plug-in tab
right click the "DirectDraw" and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4

One last thing, if you have the SMR (Angel portion) codec installed, un-install it, its rubbish and can also cause problems like this.
