  1. I'm trying to find some good disk backup software for backing up my PC to DVD-RW using my Pioneer A04. Any suggestions? Everything I've seen so far just talks about CD-R/RW. I'd like to do my backups without cloning everytime with something like Norton Ghost.

  2. I dont think there is anything out right now that will directly support that. The thing you could do is use CDRWs to span a ghost image go into windows and copy the volumes onto a DVDR/RW disk that would work more than likely.

Heres what I mean, tell ghost to back up to CDRWs, have quite a few handy, and it will say that it will take X amount of disks once it has written to all the discs, restart windows, copy the files off the CDRWs and then burn all onto a DVD disk. Ghost then when you restore will treat the DVD like it was a regular drive holding an image.

  3. Well, I did pretty close to what you suggested. I've got 2 drives, one 20GB for my system and one 60GB that I use for data and so I used Ghost to image the 20GB onto the 60GB (it broke it up into 3 files of 2GB or less each). I then used Nero to burn 2 of the files to one DVD-RW and the remaining file to another DVD-RW. Works for me for now but I'm still going to keep an eye out for some proper backup software. Maybe in a year or two...
