  2. Just go inot Virtual Dub, open up the file, then goto File-> save WAV. You can find virtual dub in the tools section of this site.

Load the AVI into www.goldwave.com and use one of the filters. Goldwave download also has MP3 plug-ins on the download page.

Save out the WAV ready for use later, matching the source type.

Or use Vdub to save out the audio uncompressed at 44.1Khz then use that in Goldwave to remove hiss

  4. I'm having problem with Goldwave removing the hiss. It tells me to set the horizontal line at 75 and chose filter hiss, but once it goes through the whole process, I still have noise in there, but not a hiss anymore, it's different kind of disturbance. Am I doing it right?

If your making a VCD, just use TMPGEnc

    Audio > WAV
    Video > AVI

Or Vdub, Load AVI then select Audio > Wave audio

  8. I think I'm a little confused. To put the audio and video back together is called De-multiplixing or multiplexing? I need to join them together!!

Putting them together is multiplexing. On the main screen in TMPGEnc, once you tell the program what video and audio inputs you will be using and what to name the output file. once you select "Start", you will be multiplexing.
