Recently when i have imported certain .avi files(compressed with Picvideo MJPEG Codec) that I have captured(using virtualdub) into adobe premiere, the icon of the video in the library, which should be the first frame of the video, is black. I also have my timeline set to display the videos with the frame-by-frame display, as opposed to just the filename. When i put them on the timeline, they remain black, and each little picture, which should be frames from the video, is black as well.....its kinda hard to explain, but im sure you guys get the jist of it....its hard to distinguish between videos when its all just a long black line...![]()
any help?
thanks :P

Hhhhmmmm.... I have the exact same problem in Premiere 6.5 with PicVideo. It seems Premiere cannot read the AVI in the timeline although Huffy codec works fine on the timeline.
Can anyone offer any solutions???
I did want to use Huffy but its creating huge files and I need to capture 4 hour tape and PicVideo allows me to accomplish that on a 60 gig HDD.
So if anyone can give some help here, it will be greatly appreciated!! -
I was just uninstalling some stuff but I also installed a premiere server plugin but its fixed now...so whether it had some conflict or something or whether the plugin fixed it...its fine now.
