I fianlly got me a Pioneer A04 DVD burner. Im trying to make my first DVD. The guide on this site says that Nero can burn DVD's. But Im using the latest Nero and the wizard doesnt show any DVD. It just shows VCD and SVCD and CD rom. Am I missing something? Any help is appreciated.

when you start nero there is a box that pops up in the middle with CD selected as default. On the top left of that box where it says CD you must change to DVD. You should be able to find it now that you know where to look.

Thanks for the reply but maybe Im missing something. When I open Nero the New Compilation box opens. Is this where Im supposed to find it. I just dont see where it is your telling me to look. Sorry for being slow. New to this.

If you look in the "settings" or "preferences" for Nero, there should be a box that has to be checked before you will the DVD option enabled.
I no longer have Nero installed so I'm not exactly sure where to find it, but I do remember having to check it.

If your DVD-R is properly installed, NERO will automatically make it available. When it first opens up, there should be a box at the top of the different templates (first click on NEW COMPILATION) with CD and DVD and others showing. If not, then your DVD isn't being recognized by WINDOWS. Search this forum for help. Almost all of us have had this problem with this DVD-R.
