First of all I'll just like to say that I've been dealing with this problem for a while. I was following the first guide to making a VCD from a DVD. I used Smart Ripper, DVD2AVI, TMP, Chapter X Tractor and VCDEasy. I've done everything according to plan but when I try and encode the D2V file to an MPEG in TMPGEnc my system stops responding. Is there something that I'm doing that's causing this? I'm wondering if my CPU is just getting hot but there was an instance when I did get to encode the file but it resulted in two 5 MB files. If someone can assist me that would be greatly appreciated or just point me in the right direction. if you need any information from me please ask. thanks.

I have the same problem when the room temperature reaches 90 degrees and running TMPGEnc. I monitered the cpu temp and as it approches 115 degrees the computer freezes.
TMPEGnc work fine on cooler days.
