I am trying to encode Evil Dead 1 with Tmpeg, and right in the beginning it just freezes up. Why? The timer continues and everything, but the picture just gets all blocky and never gets any further. someone out there please tell me why I am having this problem, and what can I do to fix it?

I forgot to add: I can watch this movie fine on windows media player. It only happens on vcd and while encoding!
