Have you read the guides on this site yet because they cover all this? You need to convert to a svcd compliant mpeg2 file which you can then burn using svcd burning software. To find out what the parameters for svcd are then click on the SVCD link. To find out how to make one click on the CONVERT link or the DVD RIP link if your source is a dvd. If after reading the guides you have any specific questions than feel free to ask in the forum.

Whitedawg - why apologise? I also have a similar problem and it's not easy reading the how to sections and understanding it all. As detailed as they are, it doesn't help when you get arrogant know it alls like Hilljack. So the guy knows a bit about video editing - so what. If you are not going to help - simply don't reply.
Help forums are a way of people helping each other with similar interests are they not? Hope you find out the problem and don't let the Mr Technical Testosterone get in your way.

It is not to much to ask that one who wishes to learn go ahead and find out about the basics, the question whitedawg posed is basic and can be easily answered (on his own) by just taking the time read a litle. As for the guides..they are written so simple a moron could understand.
Those "Mr. technical testosterone know it alls" that you referre to, take the time to share what they know with every body, the least you can do is try to do some research before posting a question that have been answered now a 1000 times.
So you, andy, need to do some reading yourself, Whitedawg will. In the mean time just shut up! -
