  1. I am really new to this, I have only made a few vcd's and every one has an audio/video sync problem. Sometimes during the movie the video with slow down or speed up and lose sync with the audio. It never lasts for more than a few seconds, and always fixes its self. It's not a huge problem, only happening a few times per disc, but it is really agrevateing. I use Vdub, Tmpgenc, and Easy cd 5. When I make my wav file I get a warning about audio format or something, but I'm wondering if my computer is to slow to do this kind of stuff (celeron 663, 376 ram, no video or sound card). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  3. Sorry, downloaded movies. Also, now that I think about it when I made vcd's of 20 minute non-divx anime's they came out perfect and vdub didn't kick out any warnings about audio headers.

  4. Read the error message from vdub carefully, then hit the search button at the top of the page and type in a few choice words, you might be surprised just how many thimes this particular topic has been covered in recent months.

  5. I had this problem with tmpgenc before. For whatever reason, on my current setup, tmpgenc does some goofy thigs when reading a divx file. BUT, if I use virtual dub to frameserve the video to tmpgenc, those little out-of-sync glitches go away.

I use v-dub to split out the audio and video and then I use use v-dub to frame serve the video using full processing mode and I let tmpgenc take the audio from the wav file. That solved it for me.

  6. The divx audio has probrably been compressed as an mp3 you need to extract it as a wav file and use the wav file as your audio source in tmpgenc. Use vdub to save the audio as a wav file.
