    VCDHelp.com boards allow image linking.

Is there any limit in size of linked image files? Like 10KB or 100KB per post or 1MB or 10MB per day?

No limit for linked image on other servers.

  3. Show some common curtesy though! Some members still use dial-up and they definitely don't appreciate having to download large images in a thread. Broadband uptake may be high in South Korea but it definitely isn't in other parts of the world.

If the image shows some great incredible information, then link to it. However, if it only shows a photo of people walking around at an expo, or a photo of a drive, please use some restraint. Link to the original article -- anyone who is interested will follow the link.

OK. Then why did you delete any trace of http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/pc/docs/2002/0710/dvdp04.jpg completely? If you just delete img code only, you can prevent it from being downloaded automatically. I warned you before so I am sure you were aware of it. For what purpose did you delete the whole lines?

    1. To save bandwidth of dial-up forum users

    2. To discourage people from posting anything positive about DVD+RW

Well, it's true that practically everyone I personally contact has either cable or ADSL at home. Very soon, HDTV-quality broadcasting via web will become ubiquitous at least for the early adopters. In Japan, 8Mbps ADSL costs US$8 each month.

Posting links to images located on web servers is against what?

And where are that multiple 100KB + images?

    39.5 KB (40,493 bytes)

    http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/pc/docs/2002/0710/dvdp04.jpg

I had checked the file size before I posted it. It was ONE file and 40KB one. For 56Kbps modem, it will take roughly five seconds to download a 40KB image file.

You've hit the nail on the head, VCDHelp is in a global conspiracy, allied with the Illuminati, the Bilderbergs, and a couple of other organizations that aren't helthy to mention.

    - VCDHelp conspires against DVD+RW and all those who use it.

    - VCDHelp was the undiscovered mastermind behind the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in 1914.

    - VCDHelp was the muscle behind the "Big Oil" plan to stifle development of the 1,000-mile-per-gallon carburetor.

    - VCDHelp was a power player in the Jacobite rebellions and works behind the scenes to foment a coup that will result in Jacobite ascendancy to the throne.

If I say any more, they'll probably see that my days are numbered. ACK! VCDHelp is knocking on my door! I hope I ca...
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  8. If I delete images, I do it for a good reason.

Multiple as in I deleted 3 images from one of your posts, and 7 from another.

None of those images showed any particularly useful information that couldn't have simply been linked to the original article (which you had already done).

    For god's sake, stop whinging!

I can't stand when people whine. It annoys everyone and gets nothing done.
