  1. A couple of times I have had this message "Illegal floating decimal point calculation order" while converting Divx to VCD last film did 66% then stopped, anyone got any ideas? Cheers

    Your AVI has "Junk frames" you need to remove them before you use TMPGEnc.

    Vdub has Video > Scan video stream for errors
    When its finished it lists them at the bottom, just ignore this and save out another copy of the AVI

    Video > Direct stream copy
    Audio > Direct stream copy
    SAVE AVI (movie2.avi)

    You can now use this second copy in TMPGEnc

    However Vdub may also crash on junk frames, if it does you need to download "vdub-mp3-freeze.exe" for the scan.

    This time it makes a list of junk frames at c:\badframes.log which you can use to delete the junk frames, starting with the highest blocks first, marking the start and finish by jumping to the nearest key frame (Yellow Icon)

    Finally save out another copy as above
