Looks like it's aimed directly at the Canopus Storm (with the Mpeg encoder card), for less than $1000 US!
Looks very tempting, but I worry:
Canopus is known for outstanding quality and tech support.
Matrox is not.
When real-time cards first appeared under $2000, manufacturers were mum about their inability (except for the Storm) to output DV in real time. As a result I don't trust them.
