  1. Ok i found the star wars movie (456) and want to make them as a vcd or svcd(if I can find a freeware for it). I encode it already using tmpgenc format ntsc film but i notice the image skips every 5 seconds or so....
I know they are at 25 000 format (pal) but i'dlike them as ntsc cause i dont know how my tv or dvd will react to pal. I thought that i could just ask tmpgenc to convert it for me but obviously that led to my skipping problems...how can i solve that? do I need to burn as pal?

if they are 25 fps, then they are in pal format.
I would try encoding a small test clip as a pal (S)VCD and see whether it plays ok or not. on my pioneer, and old crappy TV, I have no problems playing PAL discs. if that doesn't work, I would search this forum for PAL to NTSC and that should find a good conversion method
what are you askin' me for...
    I'm an idiot!
