  1. Hi everyone I am using the "Dr.Mercury" tools to capture from a camcorder and I captured a video as a MP2 161,525 size and after all the steps to make it a svcd the file was a mpg and 56,911. Is it a mpeg2??
the properties say its a mpg movie file.

    Any help would be great.

  2. The extension for a MPEG2 file with audio is .mpg, without audio is .m2v, MPEG1 without audio is .m1v, and MPEG1 with audio is also .mpg .

If you have doubts as to what you encoded use a bitrate viewer to get some info on the file, or use TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools.
