    I'm planning on buying a dvd rw drive for my comp and i was wondering; can all dvd players play dvdrw discs or do you have to buy one that that can recognize them.

    Look to your left and you will see a column of links. One of these links says "DVD Players - Compatibility list".

    Why don't you peruse through this list and see if it can answer your question?
