Can anyone tell if it is possible to write more than one still slideshow on a single SVCD and then have a menu from which show can be selected, and if this is so any pointers to how would be gratefully received. ? I have used VCDEasy to create my slideshows and can use the 'next' and 'previous' buttons to progress the slides on my DVD player on TV. Is it possible to write the SVCD in some way to allow any individual photo to be selected.?

  2. It should be possible with VCDEasy to do what you want. You must first create all the menu images using your favorite picture editor and then let VCD Easy stills option convert these to MPG. You can use Interactivity feature in VCDEasy to link the menu to the various different slide show images that you also included in VCDEasy as MPGs.

Essentially from the menu you can go to Slideshow 1 or Slideshow 2, etc... This is pretty much limited by the size of the CD so you have lots of room.

In order to be able to go to individual slides, you would need to create a Slide Selection Sub-menu and then use the interactivity to manually set the links for the #s (1-99) to go to a specific image. This sub menu would have small thumbnails of each image that would each be assoicated with a specific number, such as 1, 2, etc. This is quite painstaking, but not hard.

For more details guides you may want to use the "search" function on this forum and also look at the VCDHelp guides for how to create a menu in VCDeasy.

    Hope this helps.

Many thanks 'hitch' for your tips. It obvious that I need to get to grips with menus and chapters. If only there was a 'Dummies Guide' available'. !!! Would a book on XML be of any use, I am reasonably familiar with HTML but I am still somewhat in the dark as to were the XML file fits in on an SVCD or VCD.
