  1. I am trying to convert an Avi file to SVCD as fast and as best as possible. I am using Avisynth to create a script for editing. Next to be able for CCE 2.64 to read the *.avs file you have to run the VFAPI-EN.exe file to convert the *.avs file. Thats where my problem lies. When i open the exe file and then add the file to convert i get an error similar to this ????????(Path\*.avi)????????. I beileve i need a older version of VFAPI such as 1.03 but i am not posivitve. Also i am running XP PRO with dual Intels. One more thing. I followed the how to frame server of this web page, and it says to copy the ReadAVS.dll into the VFAPI reader. Where is the ReadAVS.dll file?IF any of you pros know how to fix this problem please let me know.

  2. This maybe isn't the answer you want but it's and answer and it's quick. I take it your avi needs to be resized that's why your frame serving otherwise you could load your avi into cce.

I'm more familiar with this method.
Load your avi into TMPGENC set the frame size and then save the project
Then load the saved project with a .tpr extension into
VFAPI EN which will give you an avi for cce.

make sure you install the vfapi codec with Vfapi EN

giff101, VFAPIconv1.04 accept *.avs if you copy readavs.dll to the VFAPIconv directory and register it to VFAPI, as explained in the guide. There you will find a download link as well. If this way is too complicated, just use VFAPIconv1.03. I prefer 1.04, because the 1.03 GUI suck.
