so i encoded an AVI movie to MPG using TMPGEnc. Now it was longer than 80 min. i used the source range thing. now if i hvae to encode the rest of the movie what to i have to do with VIRTUALDUB!???????????
if i encode the rest and use the sound file i had before for the whole movie, wouldn't the soound part start from way from the beginning of the movie????????

You have two choices, split the AVI movie in half with Vdub, then encode each half.
Or encode the whole movie in TMPGEnc then use split/merge to split the mpeg in half.
If you need to save out the sound, and you split in Vdub, you then load each half to save out the sound, although this is not always necessary.
