I recently followed the newbie guide to create a vcd, but repeatedly got errors no matter what combination of software I used in the various steps. One source of frustration was that I couldn’t pinpoint the source of the error as it could have been in the capturing, encoding, converting, or burning. Finally, I downloaded Nero and it noticed the error and offered to correct it, so I was successful. That made me an instant fan of Nero, but it doesn’t seem like many people in this forum use it and Baldrick mentions a quality issue somewhere. Does Nero deliver everything it promises and, if not, is there a single software that you recommend that does it all or at least most of the process? For the time being, I’d be happy with quality comparable to a VHS tape as that is my source.![]()

Nero is a very good program. I dont use it to encode because it turns my movies upside downl and i dont know how to fix it. There is no program that does it all. I like using eo to encode my movies, but vcd easy to make chapters. Multiple programs are a must
