  1. i downloaded a movie total of 114 files the first cd downloaded and extracted ok burned ok also. the problem was with the second cd all 55of the file names were exactly the names of the first cd so when i downloaded it would say you have already downloaded this file so i came up with this stupid idea of changing the name of the file the file name not the rar. when i extracted with winrar it said something about volume error. im assuming changing the file name might have screwed this up am i correct? please let me know because i am in the process of redownloading all the files of the second cd with the name they gave to the files but still getting the message "i have already downloaded this file " please help so i dont go thru 5 or 6 hrs more of madness

If the second set of RAR files had the same name, you should have saved them to a different location, not overwrite the ones you have.

You can rename the files, provided the whole set has the same names.

    If the originals were called
    anyname.rar
    anyname.r00
    anyname.r01 OK

They will work But these wont

    anyname1.rar
    anyname2.r00
    anyname3.r01 NOT OK

    But these will

    anyname1.rar
    anyname1.r00
    anyname1.r01 OK

    If you have
    anyname.rar
    anyname1.r00
    anyname2.r01 NOT OK

Then anyname.rar will ask for anyname.r00 etc
