  1. Having a problem...my friend told me you have to set the time markers in order to burn a SVCD from the cue/bin properly because it keeps freezing at the end when trying to write the lead out track...does anyone know if this is true and if it is...what times should I set the markers at...info about the svcd - file size - 830MB and I'm using 80 min cd's...

    thanks

  2. Just download the most recent version they burn cue/bin files correctly. I did and it worked but it was a vcd. Sounds like your file maybe to big for an 80min cdr without overburning. My problems in the past with burning cue/bin files is it doubled about what the movie actually was. How big is your file when you do properties in explorer. If it is 830MB it's too big for an 80 min cdr without overburning if you overburn cd's this can cause your writer to lockup on the end. Some brands of cdrs overburn only a min or two others can go 5 or 10 min before you have problems

  3. im using nero 5.5.0.9 or whatever...cuz it burns vcd's perfect when I do the burn image from cue sheet...im thinking it has to do with my burner...its an hp 8100+ and i have never overburned a cd...but im figuring it has to do with the size...because I burnt another svcd that was like 720mb and that one burned fine...is there a way to like...join the whole movie then split it into as many parts as i need to?

use tmpg mpeg tools and merge the mpegs
use vcdgear to extract the mpeg from the cue first

  5. I too have an HP Writer 8100+. When I started creating SVCD's with DVD2SVCD (which I LOVE by the way!), I had the max CD-size set to 796MB. I found that this applied only to the mpg... by the time it added title/ending pictures and subtitles, I was often getting 820MB, which I could not fit even using overburning. I took the CD-size down to 780MB, now my image files consistantly come out around 805MB and fit perfectly. Just my 2 cents.

  6. you mean change the max cd size in nero or what not? if so, how do you go about doing because I can just get the time markers...

  7. also have one more question...but its regarding the menu option in nero...is there a way to put a movie before the menu or does the menu always have to be first?

  8. luckyfreshy, sorry I meant the cd-size change I refered to was within a program called DVD2SVCD, not within Nero. I just used that as an example on my experience with image filesize, since you mentioned your file was 830mb.
