    I'm having problems ripping a scratched DVD, it gets so far then just chokes. I'm using SmartRipper and my DVD drive is a Pioneer 16x slot load (not sure what model). My Daewoo still plays the DVD but I want to back it up. Any ideas

    I had that problem too a couple of times with rented dvd, so scratched that even my dvd couldn't play it, only thing I did is change the dvd...
