  1. Has anyone use Sefy's templates..If you have i need some questions to be answered.

I want to fit this 89 minute 16 second movie on one CDR that is 700mb and 80 minute. I downloaded some of Sefy's templates a few months ago(March 20002) but I havent used them yet. According to the text that came in the folder I should use SeVCD; cause i have a Sony DVP-S500D and that supports it. There are 4 Sevcd templates; which one should I use for my NTSC tv (Basic, Enhanced,or the films (Basic,Enhanced)? I will change CQ_VBR to 70 and audio at 160K. Is that good? Also if i use the Soften block noise will that make the file bigger? Also I notice the search motion search precision set to Normal and not High Quality, I thought if you have it in high quality it would give a better picture.

  3. also you dont have to decrease anything unless the file length is way over 90 mins and I also have found that by even decreasing the quality settings it still doesnt decrease the file size by much very little decrease
you can also use some filters and as fas as i know they do not increase the file size
and what i have found to be the best filters to use is the sharpening filter and the simple color correction filter
these two filters make the movie look much much better
esp d/l movies that are in avi/divx instead of using the noise filter which increasing the encoding time by a whole heep these work wonders trust me
depending on the quality if the source file (meaning the worse the movie increase the settings)
for the sharpening filter increase both bars to the right (15-45 is what i normally use depending on the quality) and this makes the blur go away for a better picture
and the simple color filter just use the contrast (the contrast makes the movie not look so bootleg if you know what i mean, it covers most of the blocks and noise that come from d/l movies) and set it anywhere from 10-15 to the right
do not check any of the high quality settings trust me they dont make that much diff in the output imo they increase the encoding time much too much
like i said those two filters if you try will make a big difference
