    Hi,
    I donwloaded an avi file. But itthey freeze from the first frame/or picture. but the sound is perfect. i have installed all the codecs, but still no succsess! pls help me someone!

    I'm taking a shot in the dark here. The AVI file that you have is actually a divx file, which sorta looks like an AVI file (I think that a lot of them even have the extension .avi). If that is the case, what is your computer speed. You'll need at least a 500 to watch a divx movie.

    If I have totally missed the mark on my above assumption, then my only other guess is that it is a bad file. You can look on the tools section for a program that fixes these files, but it may really be a bad file (check to see how big the movie is in relation to what type of movie it is(VCD,avi, divx).
