Hey.
Does anyone know of a program that will automatically detect the type of frame that is being copied, and then convert it to a smaller bit-rate, but keep the frame type?
For exampe, you have a 5 second video clip. During this clip, the frame type goes from progressive to interlaced, and then back to progressive, then back to interlaced, etc. Now when you convert this clip from original source to MPG, you can see the jumps between the interlaced and progressive frames.
I'm looking for something that keeps the frame types, even during the conversion process. When the frame is progessive, I want it to convert to a progressive frame automatically, and when it is an interlaced frame, I want it to convert to an interlaced frame.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
