  1. Just got myself a cracking copy of Scooby Doo on SVCD, and I Copied the two DAT files off the SVCD to my HD and used TMPGE to Join them, now when using Ulead DVD workshop to create the nice Gucci menu and author the DVD while its playing the in the Standalone player, the sound seems seems VERY slightly off the Video, but the more you get into the film the more the sound isn't in sync with the movie, and towards the end is almost inpossible to watch so I suppose my big Question is, what am I doing wrong?, I've also had this problem before.

  2. This sounds like you are inadvertently doing a NTSC to PAL (or vice versa) conversion. Check the framerate and resolution of the original and ensure you author to DVD with the same format.

  3. This actually happens to me a lot when I join SVCD files with TMPG and I have yet to find a fix. Had the same problem with LOTR when attempting to join and throw it on a DVD-R. Anyone?

  4. There is a fix and it involves making the length of your audio and length of your video to match also as said before, if your frame rates are different then you will get this. Now with Scooby I found that it synced fine until you try Author it which brought me to the conclusion that I was converting an NTSC as a PAL, simple problem really but so hard to realise, but still I managed to re sync the sound as PAL by using COOL EDIT and adding 1 second and a half onto the beginning of the audio file, this gave me exact sync.

With Lord Of The Rings you just need to remove the excess time from audio to make the length match the video. You will lose no movie sound just end credit sound.

Hope this helps a little, if you need more explanations then just ask.

    Cheers
