  1. I have two VCD's that I have been able to make copies of
by extracting the MPEG from the .dat with a utility called
dat2mpg. I then add the Mpeg to a video cd layout in CD maker 2000 and burn. This works fine. Now I want to add chapters to the MPG file. I read here that I can edit the cue/bin file made by VCDimager to add chapters.
But here is the problem. VCDimager gives an error message when I try to process the 640meg MPG file. It says something like "packet header expected but x0000b found".
But this MPG file is in the correct format for a vcd - I know it is because I extracted it from a vcd, and have made vcd's with it already. Does anyone know what I can do about this error?

  2. could you please post the complete error message?
(which vcdimager version are you using?)

    maybe with vcdimager 0.7.9 the error look like<TABLE BORDER=0 ALIGN=CENTER WIDTH=85%><TR><TD><font size=-1>Quote:</font><HR size=1 color=black></TD></TR><TR><TD><FONT SIZE=-1><BLOCKQUOTE>
INFO: scanning mpeg sequence item #0 for scanpoints...
++ WARN: mpeg scan: pack header code (0x000001ba) expected, but 0x000001b3 found (buflen = 2324)
++ WARN: ...this looks like a elementary video stream but a multiplexed program stream was required.
**ERROR: input mpeg stream has been deemed invalid -- aborting</BLOCKQUOTE></FONT></TD></TR><TR><TD><HR size=1 color=black></TD></TR></TABLE>
    ?

  3. The versions I have tried are 0.6.2 and 0.7.7. The error
    message is:
INFO: scanning mpeg sequence item #0 for scanpoints...
++ WARN: mpeg scan: pack header code (0x000001ba) expected, but 0x000001b3 found (buflen = 2324)

When I click on this window to close it, VCDimager has stopped working. I have not "multiplexed: this MPG but
how would I do that? The sound & video are already synched.
