help on capturing vhs to cd

can anybody tell me what the best program to do it with??
or can anbody just tell me a program??
that can capture from a Camcorder on to CD??

the "program" will come with your capture card

So what you really want to do is to convert your vhs tape to a cd that can play on your computer or dvd player, right? There's a huge range of possibilities here. The drill goes something like this:

1. Hook your vcr up to a capture card (that's installed in your pc) and capture the movie - Use VirtualDub for the capture
2. Convert the movie to mpeg format (or not, if you captured directly to mpeg) - Use tmpge for the conversion
3. Burn the video cd. - Use Nero for the burn

Now go read a whole bunch and get the other 10,000 details!!
