Ripped Shrek and selected "Movie only" option in IFoEdit.
Kept ac3 English Audio stream and stripped to new VOBs.
Opened new VTS_01...ifo in IfoEdit and did Get VTS Sectors, then saved.
Tried to play in IFOedit and says:

"Failed to render to 2 of 3 streams:
    video stream
    subtitle stream."

Guides say this method should work but I'm wondering if its because there are 2 extra angles in early part of the movie. I've not messed with these so thought they would be OK.

Ne1 had this problem with Shrek?

I don't want any menus or extras, just the movie to play when I insert the disc.

Plz, any help would be really appreciated.

  2. I encountered this as well, cinephile. I don't think it has anything to do with multiple angles, but rather with the way IfoEdit plays and previews.

Installing a DVD player should fix this for you - try WinDVD.

    Thx for your reply.
I have PowerDVD installed and that complained "format invalid" when I tried to play the new Shrek VOBs from HDD.
I have played rips successfully before but never seen this message.

I did a search on this forum and found that you must have "Multi-angle processing" enabled in DVD Decryptor when ripping multi-angle movies. I don't think I did...

Is it likely then that the main movie IFo file I originally ripped is screwed up? And is this what is causing me problems?

Should I re-rip and get IFOedit to Remove Unwanted angles for me?

    Cheers.

    OK now successfully created backup.
Even though I had Multi-angle processing OFF in DVD Decryptor it still rips the first angle.
So I used IFOedit to remove the other 2 angles and all menus/unwanted streams and burnt = working copy of Shrek.

However, I've set the Multi-angle option to permanently ON for future rips.

    ...another lesson learnt.
