    HI,
    I have some movie files which are like 687 MB long but the CD's I use after formatting are only 670 MB.( I have only Direct CD 5.0 ).Is there a way to create 2 small movie out of this one large one without much hassle.

    Is it a...DivX AVI file?

    You can use Virtual Dub to edit that; see the "how to...edit" link over there on the left.
