When i use the reduce block noise filter in tempgenc, the encoding time jumps to 20 hours for one 600mb file.... Is this completely normal???? I really need to use the filter to increase the files cosmetic appearence, but really cannot wait 20 hours for this to be completed. Normally, the encoding time takes jthe same time as the actual running time of the file of less. I am running a pentium 4 on a new computer, so the performance stats aren't affecting it. Is there a way to lower the wait time? Or did i do something wrong with the settings, time axis was 7, range was 2, and still was 7, with high quality enabled. Please help!!

TMPEGenc is very slow in applying filters - you would be better to do the work in VirtualDub and frameserver back to TMPEGenc

I just encoded the breakfast club with high quality noise reduction filter enabled in TMPGEnc, took over 20 hours. Without the filter a film of this length would normaly take 2-3 hours on my PC.
