  1. I made a svcd, and it works on my computer using windvd, but when I try it in my DVD player I get disk error. I know VCD works in my stand alone DVD player, and am told that SVCD should also. Any help is appreciated.

  2. Does your DVD player have a brand name and model number? The "crystal ball" feature isn't working well lately.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  4. It does have a model and name (Toshiba SD 3575) I think its 3575, It does not show up on the compatability list but 3205 is, and it DOES support SVCD. Any ideas?

If you look down the list, it appears that most of the Toshibas do not have SVCD support. They are in no particular order: The SD3205 is listed twice, one record indicates that it supports SVCDs, the other that it does not. I would be inclined to believe that it DOES NOT SUPPORT SVCD because the versions before and after do not support it.

  6. There is also a difference between supporting VCDs/SVCDs and supporting CD-Rs that are like this.

I have a Toshiba SD210E and picture wise it plays SVCD perfect but the sound is out of sync quite badly, and it if i want to make sure that it'll play i need to keep it within SVCD regulations its very fussy about how high the bitrate is and what sort of resolution, but if mines plays them without an error then i imagine yours would too.
