Here's my problem... my SVCD menus are created using VCDEasy, and when you press the "return button" it should bring you to the main menu page. When you press the "default button (play button)", it should start the beginning of the SVCD. However i keep getting a hand at the top of the screen telling me the function is not available.
When i press the "menu or title" buttons, i get a hand at the top of my screen showing the function is not available, but i can return to the main page using the STOP button. When i press the Play button, nothing happens, i just get that hand again, so the only way to actually start my SVCD playback is to press "1,2,3,etc..." to goto a chapter, or use the >> (advance) buttons until i skip over the menus and get to the actual movie file. Anyone know why the "Play" button won't work?
Thanks for any tips!

It is rather the poor support for SVCD format. Apparently, this feature is buggy in many players. It's more of a luxury than a requirement so engineers probably don't spend much time on it. I have Samsung dvd-1000 and SVCD playback is full of problems too. The only way to get rid of them is to jump into the DVD scene.
