Last week, my computer was re-formatted due to a viral infection. Thereafter, we installed all the necessary softwares and drivers including the one for the video capture (Snazzi DV-Editor PCI Card). However when I ran the Ulead Video Studio to capture some videos for a new project I got this error message:

Error: Connection to capture driver failure. Driver maybe in use or has been moved.

    Capture device was not detected.

I even had to re-install the hardware to another PCI slot and the computer detected it as a new hardware. Installation of the necessary driver took place and yet the same error message during video capture. I am at a loss how to deal with this. I need to do some video capturing and cannot. Please tell me what should I do.

  2. As silly as this may sound...make sure your capture card is in the pci slot properly. Make sure it's snug. The same thing happened to me. I just jimmied the card in a little more and viola!

I had it installed in another computer but I got the same error message. The techsupport told me to have a different IRQ setting... What is that?

Check IRQ's by doing the following:

1 - Right-mouse-click on "My Computer" and select preferences.
    2 - Select Tab 2
    3 - Doubleclick "Computer"
4 - Select "Interrupt request (IRQ)
5 - Now you can see which IRQ your card uses

Best situation is that it doesn't share the IRQ with another card.
If it does, move the other card to another PCI slot.
If it doen't share an IRQ with your card, remove all software regarding the card, remove it from the hardware list by selecting remove and reboot your PC and then trying it again.

    Good luck!
