Alright everyone - here's my goal. I'm want to create an SVCD with two subtitles (an english and a factoid one) and three seperate audio tracks (main movie track, director's commentary, and actor's commentary). I am perfectly capable of ripping a DVD with one audio track, but I have no idea how to do two. I can't find any guides either (I must be stupid). So...can anyone help me out? I'd be very grateful. In case you guys are interested, the movie is "Not Another Teen Movie", and I've already saved all the vobs.

Svcds only support 2 stereo tracks. If you want 3 tracks you will have to make two of them mono, one left and one right, and switch off one speaker or the other depending on which one you want to hear. Author your main audio track normally and for the other two you will need to get a wav editor. I'm not sure of the best way to do this, I would just take the left channel of one and the right channel of the other and combine them into one stereo track. Anybody have a better idea?
To multiplex your video and 2 audio tracks you can use TMPGenc (mpeg tools/multiplex and just add each track separately) bbmpeg, or I-Author.
For subtitles you can use SubMux, WinSubMux, or I-Author. To get the subs off the dvd use Subrip. If your using I-Author than obviously rip the subs in I-Author format. For submux or winsubmux you rip the subs in philips svcd creator format. There are guides on how to do all this at www.doom9.net.
If you use submux or winsubmux I would recommend authoring in vcdimager. If your unfamilar with xml scripting then just use a gui like vcdeasy. I-Author makes a great all in one program for what you want to do since it allows you to multiplex multiple audio and multiple subtitle streams all at once.
BTW, just in case you didnt know...SVCDS support up to 4 switchable subtitle streams. -

thanks for the help. I didn't know that SVCDs only supported two stereo tracks...I'm quite sure I'll live with just the normal audio and cast commentary. I also didn't know about the subtitles. I'll try these out and report back to you what happened.
