  1. Help,

I have ripped a dvd with smart ripper. Run IFOEdit and got the following files:

    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VTS_01_0.IFO
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_2.VOB
    VTS_01_3.VOB
    VTS_01_4.VOB

Within Nero, I created VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS. I placed the above files in VIDEO_TS and burnt using DVD_ROM(USF/ISO).
Everything plays fine on Power DVD and in the preview on IFOEdit, but on my DVD Player comes up disk error, however I know this media works ok in my dvd player as a straight dvd copy on Nero proves this.

    Anybody any ideas please?

    thanks
    Martin

  2. what exactly did you do in ifoedit? I'm think the the ifo or videots file might not e valid, hence why your stand alone will not play it.

  3. Hi,

I went into strip streams and applied the following:
Correct VOB Units pointer in VOB Files
Correct IFO Tables with new VOB Unit Information
    Create new VIDEO_TS.IFO and VTS_01_0.IFO
    Remove P-Uops
    Remove Macrovision
    Adjust VOB-Unit Pointers
    Adjust Audio/Subp Point

I stripped the video and audio stream.

I was told to come out of IFOEdit, then go back in and Get VTS Sectors on VTS_01_0X.IFO and VIDEO_TS.IFO but I could not find this option anywhere within IFOEdit. I am using version 0.91 of IFOEdit.

    Any ideas?

    thanks
    Martin.

  4. By default - Nero checks the Juliet option. The guide here shows it unchecked. I tried with a DVD-RW both ways. For my player, the Juliet option must not be checked. Hope this helps. If I had never seen the guide I never would have been able to make a DVD work on my stand-alone player

Why don't you just upgrade to the latest NERO, so that you don't have to use the UFS/IFO option to burn? I wasn't ever able to get that to work properly (but I didn't spend much time on this).

Once you upgrade, just use the DVD-Video template and you are home free.

    Also, aren't you missing a VIDEO_TS.VOB file?

  7. Thank you all for your time. I have solved it. I make a disk image from IFOedit and use InstantVOB to write to disk and it all works.
