Note: This is about copy to DVD-R, not VCD or SVCD, but any input would be great.
In the past I have used 2 ripping eatods to fit things onto 1 disk. Either a) strip out extras and lauguages until they fit or b) reencode the main movie files and just make a new menu manually. These to things have served me very well until now... now I have run into something I hope does not catch on and if so I want to know if anyone else can tell me out to tackle it.
On the disk in question there is only 1 vob set, all extras and the main movie are inside of it... to make matters worse the movie is not in order inside the vobs! One has the first scene as well as some previews, the second has part of the second scene and even more previews. Some of the end scenes are near the first vob and some of the first scenes (such as the opening credits) are in the first vobs.
How on earth do I back this thing up? the total size of the disk is almost 8gb... I'm stuck. Anyone have suggestions?
