  1. I have run Many Many .Avi Movie files through VirtualDub to pull out the audio & make a .Wav file which I use when I run the .Avi through TMPGenc with the .Avi to make an Mpeg1 file.
However, this last .Avi file I loaded into VirtualDub the same as I always do but I got this error message "The Requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check that the sampling rate & channel count of the input matches those of the requested format".
When I load my .Avi, I go to Audio & check "Full Processing" & then fo to File & check "Save Wav", Am I missing something?
    -Thanks-

Your avi might have a ac3 encoded audio stream.

Or you simply don't have the audio codec installed.

Do a search on encoding ac3 to a wav file. It's been discussed at great length. This should get you all set.

I just tried it & I think it worked! The true test will be what it sounds like in my DVD Player.
